If you are in the remote control racing world, getting your first win is one of the greatest feelings you will ever have. If you are a beginner RC racer and just getting into the scene, looking for your first win, one of the first things to figure out is what kind of RC car you want. When it comes to choices, the two main options are whether you want an electric car, or a nitro powered one. If you have an electric car, this means your car is run on a battery that can constantly be recharged when it runs out. Nitro powered cars however, run on a special type of fuel. If you are looking for a car that has a little more power, the nitro car will be the perfect option for you.

When you have selected the model that fits your needs, figuring out the proper tactics and techniques is the biggest key to success. Handling the car properly is arguably the most important factor when it comes to RC racing, even more important than speed in many cases. When learning how to steer the car, you should think of yourself as though you are in the driver's seat at all times. Doing this will help you combat problems of turning the opposite way when the car is in at a tricky angle away from you. Another key element of proper racing is knowing where to look during a race. Never look directly at your during a high speed race. You should always have your eyes out in front of where you want to go, while using your peripherals to keep an eye on the car itself.
