It's All About Legos

Posted by

Christmas has come and gone as it always does, but one thing is for sure to stay is Legos, and the awesome creations that come with it! It’s wintertime for heavens sake, so if you’re cooped up in the house, whip out those Legos and build your latest and greatest of creations!

To celebrate Christmas of 2014, a team in Australia created a gargantuan Christmas tree made entirely up of Legos. Check out this viral time-lapse video that captured the world. Keep in mind, that Lego Christmas trees have been built for years, but this tree however, stands out due to it’s massive awesomeness! The tree took 1200 hours and half a million bricks to build! Check it:

There pretty much isn’t anything you can’t create. Here’s a video of 2014’s 10 best Lego creations. Warning ... mind will be blown!

From Triumph Scramblers to intricate giant spider’s made up of thousands of antennae pieces that make the spider look hairy, there are no boundaries of all the things you can do with LEGOS. Not every LEGO creation needs to follow the manual. Sometimes not doing things by the book can lead to some pretty incredible builds. The little colored bricks are more than mere toys, a whole scene could be built around them! While most of us pack away our beloved bricks by the time we reach adulthood, some designers have carried on their love affair and have created the most spectacular sculptures that truly deserve the title Lego art. Being creative with Legos is probably one of the coolest things in the world. When all the pieces come together, it looks like architecture in 3D. It’s a pretty beautiful sight!

Here’s showcase some of the world's finest Lego MOC's ranging from a Firefox mosaic to a Gigantic Blue Whale!!!! What is you craziest Lego MOC?

Not only can you make the most amazing creations ever imagined, but your favorite childhood toy can be used to make accessories that are unexpectedly lovely. Here’s a few cool ideas that may spark your interest in making practical everyday accessories.

  • Rings: Glue legos to a ring base, then decorate the tops with flowers or other lego pieces.
  • Magnets: Turn the lego pieces over and glue a small blob of super glue onto the magnet. Then hold the magnet onto the back of the lego piece for a few seconds to secure. Test the magnet with another magnet first to ensure the correct side is facing out.
  • Cufflinks: Glue lego pieces to cufflinks— you could also do this for a tie clasp.
  • Ping Pong Table Divider: Build a lego wall and you can turn any table into a ping pong table.
  • Earrings: Glue an earring base to the bottom of a small translucent lego. Glue gems on the front for a touch of bling and boom!!

We could go on all the live long day of all the things you can do with Legos, but we have a Delorean to build to transport us into our future Lego mansion and sip our Lego margaritas! Happy building!
